Hot on the heels of Woolworths CMO Tony Phillips sudden exit last week, the company's director customer, brand and format, Jess Gill, has decided to leave. She departs this week.

Little more than a year into the role as Woolworths’ top marketer, Tony Phillips exited a week ago today - continuing the well-oiled revolving door for marketers at the supermarket chain.

A spokesman from Woolies said: "Jess has provided thought leadership over the past three years around store formats of the future, food for now and food for later strategies, own brand, store design and refurbishment plans.

"We wish Jess all the very best for the future."

Woolworths is on the hunt for a new CMO - the role will be responsible for the end-to-end brand experience.
