Razorfish's local national director, Jonny Stark, has been promoted to the role of senior vice president for Asia-Pacific.

The digital agency has been hard at work to drive its capabilities in ecommerce, systems integration, and strategic consulting by building hubs in China, Sinagpore and Australia.

However, the previously Sydney-based Stark will be given a leading role in driving its real-time marketing capability, with a focus on social media and content marketing.

Razorfish's chief growth and transformation officer, Vincent Digonnet, said Stark would bring a multi-faceted ability to the APAC regional office.

“Jonny’s background and unique ability to mesh content, media, strategy and technology makes him particularly suited to lead this capability in the region and build on the strong foundations already established,” Digonnet said.

“Social and ecommerce in China is the backbone of brand building and will probably be leading the way for the rest of the world. Jonny is bringing that expertise to our other regional offices, as well as combining the best brand building talents in APAC to transform our clients’ businesses.”

Stark's appointment is effective immediately and he has relocated to Hong Kong.
