Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) has released a new campaign to inspire national travellers to visit Queensland as the state opens its borders to everyone except Victorians.

The campaign was created in partnership with TEQ’s recently appointed master brand creative agency Rumble.

The Good to Go campaign ran first in Queensland before being adapted for a national audience.

TEQ chief executive officer Leanne Coddington says the core message of the campaign is that Queensland’s tourism industry is open, ready to welcome visitors and is following COVID safe practices.

“We know people can’t wait to come to Queensland and experience our unique tourism offering," Coddington says.

"Queensland has such wonderful and diverse experiences and 'Good to Go' is the perfect message, uniting our regions and our operators."

The campaign features Queensland musicians Busby Marou, who fronted the Beautiful One Day, Perfect the Next relaunch.

“Thomas and Jeremy epitomise the Queensland personality, so genuinely warm and enthusiastic,” Rumble co-founder and creative partner Nancy Hartley says.

“Travel restrictions during filming meant they were at opposite ends of the state, so we adapted that situation to help show the depth of experiences here. The tactical campaign showcases that sense of freedom we’re all longing for.”

The duo were directed by Jonathan Nyquist via Taxi Films.

The campaign is now live and will run across television, print, OOH, digital, radio and social.
