Insurance company QBE is pitching its media account, following the company naming Core as its new creative agency in October last year.

The company confirmed to AdNews that it is pitching out its account, with a five-way pitch thought to be on the cards.

QBE refused to confirm any details of the pitch, but it said that was pitching out its circa $15 million account to a “select list” of agencies.

Thought to be lining up against incumbent Carat are Zenith, Match Media, Havas Media, and The Media Store.

QBE refused to put a timeline on the process, although AdNews understands agencies have been requested to put in documentation on the pitch next week.
