Prime Media Group has appointed Dave Walker, former head of sales at Television New Zealand (TVNZ), as national sales manager at Seven Affiliate Sales.
Walker is to replace Ross Howarth, who has taken on a new role as general manager of commercial operations, after 12 years at the head of Prime's sales team. Seven Affliate Sales is the TV sales arm of Seven's regional affiliates.
Prime Media Group chief executive, Ian Audsley, said: "Dave brings extensive understanding of the Australian and New Zealand advertising landscape. He is exceptionally qualified to manage and drive the performance of our national sales operation."
Walker has been head of advertising sales at TVNZ since 2007. Prior to this, he was TVNZ's head of television sales for five years. He was also a group business director for OMD Sydney, and deputy media director for Colenso Communications Auckland.
Walker starts on Monday 27 September, and will report to Prime Television chief executive Doug Edwards.
