Pitch Wrap: Translink, MLA, The City of Perth, TripAdvisor

It’s hard to keep track of the account wins and losses across the industry. To help you keep on top of who has what, here’s a wrap of the pitches from the week.

Translink
VMLY&R Brisbane has been awarded the Queensland Government’s public transit division account TransLink, following a competitive tender process and pitch. VMLY&R will work with the TransLink team to develop strategies across, brand, digital, social, CX and creative communications as well as content generation, with a mandate to encourage Queenslanders to continue using its integrated public transport network.

Meat & Livestock Australia
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) has appointed creative agency Wunderman Thompson to lead a customer experience project. The project aims to reimagine its category shopper experience for Australians, from in-store to inspiring meal making at home. Wunderman Thompson will be working with MLA to develop and test "cutting-edge strategies" to better understand shoppers and drive future progress by prototyping new products, supply chain processes and technologies. The partnership between Wunderman Thompson and MLA will be responsible for creating digital experiences that will not only engage Australians but "inspire their weekly dinners". The project is expected to be live in 2020.

The City of Perth
The City of Perth has appointed 303 MullenLowe Perth to its strategic marketing, media planning and creative services roster following a competitive tender process. 303 MullenLowe will work with the City of Perth to continue to capitalise on the city’s growth, reinforcing its position as the state’s flagship destination and attracting visitors from all over to experience its unique vibrancy. The first campaign led by the agency is in development and will be launched mid-November.

TripAdvisor
Independent creative agency Mother has been appointed as TripAdvisor's new global creative agency of record. The account will be led out of Mother's New York office but the agency also offices in London, Los Angeles and Shanghai. The new creative platform is scheduled to coincide with TripAdvisor’s 20th anniversary in 2020. In planning for the next chapter, TripAdvisor aims to not simply be the largest but also the best guidance and planning destination. It will introduce features and tools to enable faster, more personalised recommendations and advice from travellers that share the same needs and preferences.

Beem It
The Core Agency has been appointed by digital wallet brand, Beem It, to help grow the app’s user base and launch a series of upcoming innovations. The independent Sydney creative agency's remit covers strategy, creative, social and digital. The first campaign from the agency includes multiple executions to highlight the different ways people can use the app to simplify their money admin. It is running across social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and digital performance networks.

Vida Glow
Ingestible beauty and wellness brand Vida Glow has appointed luxury communications and events agency EVH as its global lead agency. Focused on holistic wellness that translates beyond a one-dimensional approach to beauty, Vida Glow offer a range of ingestible supplements that are scientifically formulated to deliver visible results and synergistically benefit overall health and wellbeing.

Chatswood Interchange
Digital out-of-home (OOH) network VMO has secured the rights to install two 5.5m x 3m digital screens located in Chatswood Interchange that dominate the main concourse, in a competitive win. These new large digital screens will complement VMO’s ten existing full-motion digital portrait and landscape screens that are primed to deliver maximum engagement and cut through. Chatswood Interchange is one of Sydney’s key commuter hubs attracting an audience of more than 15 million people annually.
