It’s hard to keep track of the account wins and losses across the industry. To help you keep on top of who has what, here’s a wrap of the pitches from the week.

Diageo
Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has won the global media planning and buying account in key markets for drinks giant Diageo. OMG-owned agency PHD has been named as the strategic lead. The pitch was reportedly "closely contested" with incumbent Carat and Publicis Media in the final stages. Diageo's global media account was previously handled by Carat, part of Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN), except in Australia where the account was held by Publicis Media's Spark Foundry. OMG is expected to transition working on the account by the new financial year.

Travel Associates
Travel Associates has appointed full-service independent agency BCM Group as its digital and performance agency of record, following a competitive pitch. Travel Associates general manager brand and marketing Anna Burgdorf says BCM proved it understood the industry and brand's needs. "It’s essential for our boutique brand to connect with clients through the right channels, at the right time, ensuring their journey is seamless from first contact to booking their next amazing travel experience. The team at BCM understood, and rose to, the challenge we set out to reach premium travellers.”

Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision
Full service agency Town Square has been appointed by Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision, a not for profit which aims to raise funds to find new treatments and ultimately a cure for bone marrow failure. Town Square will work with Maddie’s Vision to manage brand, campaign creative, strategy, digital, web design and development as it embarks on a period of evolution and growth, five years since launching. The independent Melbourne agency has worked with Maddie’s Vision since 2017 on The Bloody Good Dinner, a joint venture annual charity event between Maddie’s Vision and the Snowdome Foundation, which raises funds for research into blood cancers.

Cloud Anvil
Independent specialist CRM campaign production agency Cloud Anvil has announced the addition of several new clients to its roster, taking on duties for Event Hospitality & Entertainment (EVT), Sydney Zoo and an expanded remit for Pernod Ricard in Australia, with its spirits brands being added to work already being done with wine brands including St Hugo, Brancott Estate and Jacob’s Creek. The agency will provide a range of services to support their CRM campaign initiatives, including the strategy and development of customer journeys, dynamic-content eDM templates and subscription and preference centres for their CRM platforms including Salesforce Marketing Cloud and MailChimp.
