PHD reshuffles senior talent

Media agency network PHD has announced a number of senior talent moves, including the promotion of Chris Stephenson from head of strategy, Australia, to the newly created role of regional head of strategy and planning APAC.

The new role will see Stephenson relocated to Singapore where he will play a key role in strengthening PHD's regional proposition.

In addition, Stewart Gurney has been promoted as head of communications planning at PHD Australia. Joel Pearson, from PHD's global planning unit in London will also be joining the Australian team as head of digital innovation.

PHD Australia CEO Mark Coad said Stephenson's promotion highlights the successful strategy team he built in Australia.

“The changes reflect our succession planning strategy and ensure that we continue with our winning momentum,” Coad said.

“Chris has a stellar reputation in our industry and this promotion is recognition of the excellent contribution he has made to PHD Australia.”
