Jen Ryall, the head of editorial at the old Allure Media titles -- Business Insider, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, Kotaku -- has left Nine's Pedestrian Group for Facebook.

She is manager in the news partnerships team headed by Andrew Hunter, a former executive at Microsoft and editor-in-chief at MSN Australia.

"I am beyond excited to join the ANZ news partnership team at Facebook as a strategic partner manager," she announced on LinkedIn.

"I’m thrilled by the opportunity to work with the diverse media businesses in the ANZ region and play a small role in supporting the industry I love.

"I know it is a crucial time for the industry and I am looking forward to playing a part in supporting the community."

She joined Pedestrian in February last year from TEGNA in New York where she was head of digital. Before that she was at Mashable as vice president, content strategy, and was the founding editor at Mashable in Australia.
