A sea change for Simon Cheng

P&O Cruises top marketer Simon Cheng is exiting the travel company after nine years, AdNews can reveal.

Cheng, who is vice president of sales, marketing and PR, for P&O Cruises, part of Carnival, is taking on a new role as CMO of health food retailer Healthy Life. He also previously worked at Qantas Holidays and agency side at McCann Erickson.

The brand has 60 stores around Australia and retails natural and organic foods, as well as health and wellness products.

He finishes up at P&O Cruises this week. During his tenure P&O introduced the 'Like No Place On Earth’ brand platform.

Current director of sales Ryan Taibel will take on the role in the interim.

The brand spends around $6 million on media annually, according to Nielsen numbers.
