Presenter of The Bachelor Australia and The Bachelorette, Gunsberg will join the Brisbane morning line-up in January 2016.

Bachelor host Osher Gunsberg is being brought in by Southern Cross Austereo to join The Hit Network.

Presenter of The Bachelor Australia and The Bachelorette, Gunsberg will join the Brisbane morning show line-up in January 2016, alongside current hosts Stav Davidson and Abby Coleman. The show is currently the fourth ranked breakfast show in the Brisbane area, according to GfK audience measurement data released last week.

“Over the years I've had the pleasure of joining Stav and Abby in the studio from time to time, and I've always left with the feeling that those two just have so much fun getting Brisbane ready for the day ahead,” said Gunsberg.

“I'm looking forward to being a part of the breakfast radio world every morning. On a personal note, to be asked to return to Hit105, the station where I started my career, is a humbling and wonderful feeling.”

Hit105 Brisbane content director, Adrian Brine, said: “Osher will add a whole new conversation to the Hit105 breakfast show and closely connect this already fun and entertaining show with music and pop culture in a very unique way.”

Davidson said Osher's recruitment will “take the pressure off me to be the 'good looking one'.”

The announcement comes days after The Bachelorette contestant Sam Frost joined Rove McManus as host of Sydney-based 2Day FM's new breakfast show.
