Optus adds We Are Social to its agency roster

Optus has continued to grow its agency roster, adding social shop We Are Social, after a competitive pitch.

We Are Social has been tasked with developing social campaigns and content for Optus’ consumer and small and medium business (SMB) functions.

Managing director of marketing and product at Optus, Ben White, says: “With Optus repositioning itself as an entertainment and technology brand, we needed a partner who understood the challenges ahead and could elevate our presence across social channels.”

“We Are Social stood out during the pitch process. It has a strong history of working with brands in both the entertainment and sport space, and brings valuable creative and analytic expertise to the table.”

We Are Social joins Optus’ agency roster of UM, Big Red, M&C Saatchi, The Works, Emotive, WiTH Collective, AKQA, and Thrive PR and Communications.

The Singtel-owned telco named its greater roster at the beginning of this year, overhauling its creative and media arrangements for both Optus and Virgin Mobile.

Managing Director of We Are Social in Australia, Suzie Shaw, says, “Optus recognises the power of putting social thinking at the heart of marketing, and that’s what we do.”
