Rhys Gower has switched from heading up the McDonald's account at OMD Sydney to heading up Big W at Carat Sydney.

Carat announced the appointment today saying that he would report into Carat Sydney managing director Dan Sinfield, taking on the twin roles of head of Big W and new business director.

Prior to OMD, Gowe worked at Mindshare Sydney and Carat in London.

Just last month OMD hired a new head of strategy on the McDonald's account in the form of Gideon Horung.

Gower said: "The agency is clearly backed by an impressive network; but more importantly [it has] a local offering full of potential, a strong client portfolio, a rich culture and great people. With such a solid foundation already bolstered by some notable recent hires, I can’t wait to get started,” Gower said.
