OMD Melbourne has promoted trading director Andrew Brannaghan to head of trading at the agency after the promotion of Margie Reid last week.

Reid was promoted to lead the Melbourne office after the departure of former managing director Steve Sinha to 303Lowe to take up a national media manager role.

Brannaghan has been with OMD since 2005 and has worked within the media industry for nine years covering multiple categories including Auto, FMCG, Insurance and Retail across clients such as Mazda, BUPA Health Insurance and Fonterra.

OMD told AdNews there were no other moves in the works. Brannaghan will be supported by four trading managers and a team of senior trading managers.

Brannaghan for his part said he was excited, if daunted, to be taking up the new role.

“I clearly have very big Jimmy Choo’s to fill taking over from Margie,” Brannaghan said.

“It’s such an exciting time to be part of the OMD family, and working alongside such talented people. We’ve built a market leading team in Melbourne, and I look forward to accelerating that momentum into 2015 and beyond.”
