George Patterson Y&R has been appointed by NSW Health as its lead creative agency following a competitive pitch for a major project.
The agency bested M&C Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather to win the project that is due to launch in the coming months.
GP Y&R will take on all of NSW Health’s advertising duties, replacing the department's previous system of appointing agencies on a project-by-project basis.
NSW Health campaigns are focused on reducing the risks to people's health from smoking, obesity, drug and alcohol use and stress.
NSW Health also works to promote the things that protect people's health, such as good nutrition, physical activity, healthy environments and supportive relationships.
Recent campaigns include 'Don't Let Drugs Use You', 'Sexually Transmissible Infections' and 'No Smoking In Cars With Children'.
