Nine has appointed Penny Kaleta as its director of sales for radio.

Kaleta was previously national sales and partnerships director at Australian Community Media (ACM), formerly owned by Nine. In her new role, she will oversee sales for Nine’s newly-acquired radio division Macquarie Media.

“Penny is an exceptional sales leader and I can’t wait for her to join Nine to lead our radio sales team,” says Michael Stephenson, Nine’s chief sales officer.

“She has an exceptional reputation in both the direct and agency markets across the country and a proven track record in leading high-performance teams and strategic projects.”

Kaleta is also tasked with transforming the radio sales team into the broader Nine team. Nine has aligned its radio sales team with its TV, digital and publishing teams, which are set to move into the sales offices early next year.

“Brands like 2GB, 3AW, 4BC and 6PR have a direct conversation with their audiences and their communities and I’m excited about what this means for brands,” says Kaleta.

“I can’t wait to unlock this potential for advertisers on radio and I’m excited about how we extend those opportunities across the Nine family.”
