Nine management shake-up - Wiltshire and Parsons promoted

Nine entertainment has shaken-up some of its key management roles, with Alex Parsons, currently managing director of Mi9 and Peter Wiltshire, currently group sales and marketing director both stepping up to take greater roles within the business.

Nine announced last night that Parsons will now take on the role of chief digital and marketing officer, which sees him cover his existing role with the added responsibility for the Mi9 operations, coupled with our consumer marketing activities across the business.

The shuffle sees Wiltshire become the chief revenue officer for Nine, a move the business says reflects his increased focus on core revenue growth across the broadcast and digital assets.

Nine noted that over the past few months Wiltshire has implemented a restructure of the team, and now has a fully integrated NEC sales operation across the country.

“This is a major step in the way we see the future for advertisers, where delivering solutions and audiences becomes increasingly channel neutral across linear broadcast, online short and long form video and display. The team is migrating to adapt to the rapidly changing needs of our clients and agencies,” the company said in an announcement.

“These roles reinforce the implementation of our long term focus and accelerate our plans to create a seamless and leading premium content, video and advertising company in Australia,” the note added.
