Greater Building Society jumps on Twitter
The Greater Building Society has claimed it is the first building society in Australia to use Twitter to communicate with its customers. Customers will be able to ask questions of staff, provide feedback and receive tips and news from the company. The Greater Building Society will also use the platform to preview the new series of its commercials featuring Jerry Seinfield.

Reprise appoints search director
Reprise Media, Mediabrands’ search and social media specialist business, has appointed Dennis Wong as search director. Wong is currently a client service manager at UM, working in the agency’s federal government team. At Reprise Media, he will focus on search work for the Federal Government. Wong will join the Reprise Media team on October 4.

Independents to help digital radio rollout
Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) has continued to push for the regional rollout of digital radio, It has been reported that regional independents Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott will accelerate the process. CRA and the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) met in August to discuss a digital rollout in regional areas.

Pickles Auctions appoints Red Ark
Australian auction group Pickles Auctions has appointed Red Ark as its advertising and marketing agency, without a pitch. Red Ark have been tasked with building the brand online.

Warner Home Video and PBL appoint Daemon Two
Warner Home Video and PBL have appointed Daemon Two to handle social media campaigns. Warner Home Video has tasked the agency with running social media campaigns around the launch of entertainment releases The Vampire Diaries: The Complete First Season, and Gossip Girl: The Complete Third Season. PBL has asked the agency to launch its new Powered brand into the world of social media.

Cowan adds two new faces to Nestle team
Branding and design agency Cowan has announced two new appointments to its Nestle client service team in Sydney. Account director Vivienne Ringersma will manage The Nestle Food Division. She will be joined by account executive Hanika Gomez who joins Cowan from a magazine marketing background.
