Ikon and Mindshare win at REA Excellence Awards

Ikon and Mindshare win at the REA Excellence Awards Ikon for its client Bankwest and Mindshare took home two gongs at the Annual REA Excellence Awards, (AREAS), for Brand Campaign of the Year and Community Contribution. The awards, held in Melbourne, recognise the property and media industry’s best innovators, marketers and community champions. This year saw the introduction of the Gold AREA Agency of the Year award, which is awarded to the best real estate agencies in Australia. Sydney digital and creative agency Toast Creative won Brand Campaign of the Year, Coronation Property took out Home Marketing Campaign of the Year and fintech startup BRICKX, as well as Mirvac, won Game Changer of the Year. PHD appoints Jordan Smith to lead ANZ account

Jordan Smith has been appointed as group business director on the ANZ Bank account at PHD Melbourne. Smith replaces Simon Lawson, who was promoted to General Manager earlier this year.ANZ was PHD Melbourne’s founding client in 2012. Smith says: “I’m excited to be joining an agency with such a strong client focus and culture. PHD’s momentum in the market are truly remarkable, and working on a brand of ANZ’s calibre is a highlight in anyone’s career.”

Cummins&Partners hires former Zoo boss Matt Rose

Cummins&Partners have added to their senior leadership ranks luring Matt Rose to lead their Energy Australia and Bendigo Bank businesses. Rose was the managing director at Zoo Group Melbourne for nearly two years before departing in a string of exits from the agency. He has previously held roles at Ogilvy Melbourne, MEXT and Interbrand. He ran the AAMI business in the celebrated ‘Rhonda and Katut” era. There has been a number of changes within the Sydney and Melbourne Cummins&Partners team.
