Ten creates chief operating officer role, promotes Annabelle Herd
Network Ten has promoted Director of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Annabelle Herd to the newly created role of chief operating officer of the network. Itl;s the first major leadership appointment since the network was acquired by CBS.
Herd, who has been with the network since 2004, will report to CEO Paul Anderson.
Anderson says: “Annabelle has been responsible for leading Ten’s corporate position in a complex media landscape. She is a strong and trusted leader and has the qualities for this position, both now and into the future. I am delighted that she has agreed to take on this new role.”

YouGov acquires Galaxy research

YouGov, the UK-based brand value research house that launched in Australia two years ago has acquired Australian market research company Galaxy. The entity will become YouGov Galaxy and former Galaxy managing director David Briggs will lead the combined teams. Former YouGov boss Sej Patel will remain with the business. The group says the acquisition will strengthen YouGov's position in the local market and accelerate growth. Galaxy is an expert in the field of polling and handles the political opinion polling brand Newspoll.
