Sorrell weighs in on ANA's latest recommendations

WPP's global chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell has called out Ebiquity and its off shoot FirmDecisions for having a “major conflict of interest” when it comes to the findings it handed down in conjunction with the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) on transparency. Sorrell is currently in the country and was speaking with The Australian about the guidelines revealed yesterday by the ANA and Ebiquity that called on marketers to tackle the issues head on.

Sorrell told The Australian today: “Ebiquity is in the business of generating audits and it’s recommending further audits. People talk about conflict of interest. If ever there was a conflict of interest it must be the position of Ebiquity recommending audits — being an auditor.”
