Great Australian Bake Off heads to Foxtel

The 12 contestants for the Australian version of BBC Worldwide's baking phenomenon 'The Great Australian Bake Off' have been announced today.

They include a doctor, two students, a food historian, and a truck driver, who will compete to produce a range of baked goods to impress judges Maggie Beer and Matt Moran.

The 10-part series will be hosted by comedians Claire Hooper and Mel Buttle.

Australia has been home to the bake off before, when Channel Nine produced a local version in 2013. This is the first Australian version for Foxtel, and it will be produced by FremantleMedia Australia.

Krux bolsters Sydney team

Cloud data management firm Krux has appointed Matt Berkovits as solutions engineer as part of a trio of changes in the company's Sydney team.

In addition to Berkovits, Eloise Lloyd has been made client solutions manager while Pascal Hakim assumes the role of director APAC, solutions architect.

Berkovits previously spent four years at Fairfax, while Lloyd arrives from a products sales role at Ninemsn.

Sizmek makes APAC hires and promotions

Sizmek has promoted its Sydney-based head of programmatic trading Dylan Robinson to APAC head of commercial for its recently formed media solutions division.

In another significant appointment, Scott Ries becomes APAC technical services director and mobile specialist for Sizmek, pushing his remit into Asia.

Supporting this Asian expansion is Fay Koo, who has been promoted to data product specialist for the APAC region.
The above will be joined by Ayaan Mohamud, who will be head of marketing for APAC, working out of Sydney.

Sydney Mobile Marketing Meetup opens in Melbourne

Mobile Marketing will launch in Melbourne this week with an event on 16 September.

The meeting will take place at the new campus of the General Assembly and will focus on "explaining the mobile media ecosystems and its opportunities". Led by Adrian Kos, the Australian managing director of Turn, the meeting is aimed at getting people started in mobile advertising.

This meeting, which launched in Sydney, heads back to the city on 24 September, featuring a guest presentation by John Sardelic of Adjust on the measuring of mobile campaigns.
