News names new leadership for The Australian

New Corp Australasia and News Corp Australia has announced two senior editorial appointments. Paul Whittaker will return to The Australian as editor-in-chief, after his current role as editor at the Daily Telegraph and Chris Dore, current Courier-Mail editor, will become editor of The Daily Telegraph.

Paul Whittaker will be taking over for Chris Mitchell when he retires in December. Both Whittaker and Dore have a long history in Australian publications, with Whittaker as editor of the Australian from 2007-2011 and Dore's previous role as former deputy of The Sunday Telegraph and deputy editor of the Australian.

IAA Australia launches 2016 travel scholarship

IAA Australia has launched IAA “Write Your Future” 2016 travel scholarship for marketing communications young professionals and students aged 30 years and under.

In conjunction with Adobe, the scholarship encourages young talent to showcase their ideas and fosters professional development of young talent in marketing, advertising and media industries.

The winner is chosen from 1,200 contestants around the world, and will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the IAA World Congress, held in Abu Dhabi in 2016.
