Masterchef winner joins Delicious magazine

The winner of the 2015 season of MasterChef Australia, Billie McKay, is joining NewsLifeMedia's Delicious magazine as a monthly columnist starting from the October 2015 issue out today.

This is the first time Delicious has partnered with MasterChef Australia and as part of winning this year’s series of MasterChef Australia, McKay signed an exclusive deal with delicious to write a column with the brand for 12 months.

Sydneysiders turn out for Smooth's festival of chocolate

Smoothfm’s extension into the experiential arena saw over 110,000 people turn out to attend the second annual smooth Festival of Chocolate, a partnership between NOVA Entertainment and Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, in The Rocks on 12 and 13 September.

With returning partner Callebaut and Arnott’s Tim Tam on board for the first time, together with Ambassador’s Adriano Zumbo and Shangri-La Hotel Sydney’s Anna Polyviou fronting the event, the Smooth Festival of Chocolate saw attendance increase 63% on last year’s attendees.

AMY awards entries window to open

The AIMIA will begin accepting entries for the 22nd AMY awards from 5 October.

The AMY awards aim to reward the "high calibre of digital work produced by Australia's bright and innovative individuals and businesses".

This year, AIMIA is adding supplementary award categories to give recognition to groundbreaking new businesses and individuals. These include 'Best Use of Technology' and 'Best Digital Startup". A full list of categories can be viewed on the AIMIA awards site

AIMIA is also looking for applicants to put themselves forward to judge the entries, citing a passion for digital excellence and a minimum of five years' experience as desirable attributes. Registration for judges closes on 2 October, with the preliminary judging taking place between 2-20 November before a second phase for finalists.
