Dreamworld appoints Grey Sydney to creative account
Dreamworld has appointed Grey Sydney to its creative account as it looks to boost visitation on a local, national and international basis. Creative director Chad Mackenzie says that “the Dreamworld brand is all about Happiness. And what more could a creative department want more than a chance to drive innovation in a space where Happiness is the mantra?” The news follows the appointment of Match Media to its media account last year.
Publicis and Walmart form creative entitiy
Publicis Groupe and Walmart are creating a new entity that places all advertising and inhouse marketing in one business. Walmart has already produced work with Publicis' Saatchi & Saatchi and will sever ties with its other creative agency, Interpublic's Martin Agency. The deal does not include media, which Walmart is still reviewing after it dropped MediaVest earlier this year.
New Balance on hunt for global creative
New Balance is looking for a new global creative agency after it severed ties with lead global creative agency Arnold in June. The move comes as the sportswear company looks to expand further overseas by opening new stores in London, Tokyo and Milan. It is believed most of the ad spend will still focused on the US and there will be greater consolidation across the company's roster of agencies.
Adidas takes Skechers to court
Sports apparel company Adidas has sued Skechers alleging patent infringement only months after a a judge ordered the company to stop selling three shoes that were similar to Adidas registered trademarks. The new lawsuit, filed in a US court, pertains to Adidas' Springblade trainers (pictured below), which the German footwear company claims is copied in Skechers' Mega Flex range. In the past, Adidas has sued Skechers alleging it copied designs for its three-stripe logo, Supernova design and Stan Smith shoes.
