News Bulletin: Datalicious CEO Bartens exits for NYC, Eyres joins ASB board

Agency founder exits business after 11 years

CEO and founder of marketing data business Datalicious, Christian Bartens, has left the 2007-founded Australian firm for a 'measurement lead' role at Equifax Marketing Services in New York City. Marketing services by Equifax include “database marketing, persistent keying and data hygiene services, analytics and modelling and on-going direct marketing services support”. In 2014 credit reference agency Veda Group acquired a controlling position in Datalicious and in 2016 Veda itself was acquired by NYSE-listed data analytics giant Equifax. Bartens had been running Datalicious for 11 years. AdNews understands now the acquisition of Datalicious by Equifax is complete, Datalicious general managers in Australia will run the APAC business, so Bartens can focus on building up the same capability for Equifax in the US.

Louise Eyres and Vince Meoli join ASB board

The Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) has added two new members to its board of directors. Vince Meoli and Louise Eyres took up their posts this year. Eyres is the former senior marketing exec with ANZ Bank and now heads up marketing for the Australian Sports Commission as CMO. Meoli is commercial director at media agency Hyland. “The Board of Directors represents diverse industry sectors vital to the independence of the ASB to ensure standards of advertising are inline with community values. We are delighted to welcome two highly experienced and respected new Board members,” said David Scribner, chair of the ASB. The board of directors’ role is to ensure the ASB delivers on its remit of upholding a self-regulatory system for Australian advertising. At the same time John Broome, recently appointed CEO of the AANA and Victoria Marles step down from the board.
