Bohemia wins Unibet account

Bohemia has been appointed as the media agency of record for Unibet effective immediately, following a competitive pitch.

The win sees Bohemia take on the media strategy, planning and buying for the brand, which had previously been held by ZenithOptimedia.

Bohemia MD Brett Dawson said: “We are a challenger agency and at our best with challenger brands. We can't wait to get started.”

Bohemia has won a slate of new accounts this year, including Caltex, Pandora, Twitter, Youi and news.com.au. As a result, it is currently looking to fill three additional roles within the business.

SEEK marketer moves into PENSO MD role

Former SEEK marketing manager Kate Sterling has won the top job at Melbourne-headquartered PENSO.

PENSO, which describes itself as a cross between a management consultancy, advertising and digital agency, advises clients including Emirates Group, Business Council of Australia, CUB, IAG and Collingwood Football Club on growth strategies.

Sterling will manage the agency’s day-today operations including its recently opened office in Dubai, as well as lead new business development and client relationships.

Entering the company in a newly created role at the same time is Edgar Rouwenhorst, a former marketing strategist at Ogilvy One in Sydney, Melbourne Amsterdam and Brussels.

“It’s exciting to work at an agency that's taking a different approach to solving business issues and delivering real and measurable growth to companies and brands,” said Sterling of her move.

Dentsu Aegis Network takes agency into Asia

Dentsu Aegis is taking its Australian digital performance agency, Columbus, into Asia in a move aimed at strengthening the Group’s growing global performance marketing network.

The nine year-old Australian-based digital agency, part of Dentsu Aegis Network and Australia's largest performance marketing business, is launching Columbus Asia.

Matt Crook, CEO of Performance & Amplifi, Dentsu Aegis Network ANZ said expansion into Asia is a “logical next step” for Columbus.

In August Dentsu Aegis had secured the exclusive rights to the ad inventory for The Huffington Post's recently-launched Australian site. The deal gives Dentsu Aegis clients the first, and only, access to advertising across the site, ensuring that no other agency will be able to access the inventory for the local arm of the US-founded site.

Presto now on Telstra TV

Entertainment streaming service Presto has teamed up with Telstra TV to offer TV and movie content to the telco's customers via Telstra's Roku device.

Presto said the development is a step forward in its plans to expand its availability across a range of devices including smart TVs and games consoles. Other devices are expected to be announced later this year.

Presto's availability via Telstra TV comes after it recently added other ways to stream its content, including Airplay for Apple devices and updated mobile and tablet applications.

Advocacy group to reward gender equality in ad agencies

An advocacy group striving to bring more women into leadership positions in the advertising industry has launched a certification program to recognise companies that successfully promote gender equality in their organisations.

Armed with a barrage of statistics on the lack of women in senior positions in advertising agencies, the 3 Percent Conference announced its new plan - “3 Percent Certified” - on Monday in New York.

Achieving the certification will require companies to apply and undergo a review by an independent auditing committee who will collect information on salaries and the breakdown of men and women in leadership positions, among other things. If the agency can carry out suggestions provided by the group on achieving greater gender balance it will be certified.
