Snapchat to cover Rio

Snapchat has partnered with US broadcaster NBC for the Rio 2016 Olympics that will see the games broadcast across the social network app. As part of the deal BuzzFeed (in which NBC Universal is an investor)will curate a dedicated Discover channel on Snapchat throughout the Olympics, and Snapchat will also host daily Live Stories using NBC's content.

Bloomberg boss smashes Facebook

BloomBerg’s media boss Justin Smith has smashed Facebook’s erosion of the publishing model in an interview with The Guardian. In it he said newspapers, magazines and publishers are “feeding on the scraps” of the social network’s multibillion-dollar ad business, even though it is their content that keep users logged in on the platform.
