Australian Survivor located in Samoa

Ten's Australian reboot of the hit US show Survivor will be located on the South Pacific islands of Samoa. The show, which attracted more that 15,000 applications, will be hosted by Australian actor Anthoy LaPaglia. Network Ten chief programming officer Beverley McGarvey described the location as "beautiful, remote, challenging and dramatic". "The 24 contestants we have selected will be transported to a unique and very different world, where they will have to outwit, outlast and outplay to become the ultimate survivor," she says. Samoa has two large islands and four smaller ones with a population of around 200,000 people.
