News Bulletin: Advertising Week comes to Aus; OMD's charity launch

OMD launches charity initiative

OMD has launched a charity initiative called OMDonate, designed to bring charity work across the network under the one banner. It has named the Pyjama Foundation as its principal charity partner. OMD Melbourne supports the Salvation Army, The Click Foundation and Smiling Minds, OMD Brisbane supports Surf Life Saving Australia. OMDonate is intended to strengthen the efforts OMD makes to make a real, measurable and positive long term impact on the wider community.

Advertising Week is coming to Sydney 2018

Advertising Week, the conference series owned by Stillwell Partners, is coming to Australia in 2018. It already runs conferences in London, New York, Mexico City and Tokyo. The event is planning a week of "inspiring thought-leadership" content hosted at iconic Sydney venues. Former Fairfax Media exec Clive Prosser has been appointed director to oversee the event, alongside CEO Matt Scheckner and president Lance Pillersdorf. Former Vevo chief revenue officer Nic Jones, will chair Advertising Week’s Advisory Council in Sydney. The Sydney event was launched at Advertising Week Europe which is happening this week in London and features sessions from:  Former US Vice President Al Gore, London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan, Google UK chief Matt Brittin, and England rugby coach Eddie Jones.
