MPA releases study with Millward Brown

Magazine ROI is as strong as ever according to a study done by Millward Brown and the Magazine Publishers of Australia (MPA). Using the MPA’s analysis tool called MAPP (Magazine Audience Performance Predictor), which provides estimated weekly performance data for current issues of magazines, Millward Brown estimated that magazines delivered +7% higher ROI compared to what the traditional inputs delivered.

AdNear rebrands to reflect offering

Location intelligence platform AdNear has rebranded under the new name Near the better emphasise that its purpose extends beyond targeted mobile advertising.

When launched two year ago, AdNear offered brands to tab into intelligent mobile advertising using location data but now are able to create custom audiences, derive real-time consumer insights and measure offline attribution.

Founder and CEO Anil Mathews said: “We are no longer a company just focusing on using location data for mobile advertising. This is a big step for us, but it is also a natural progression as things have changed tremendously over time.”

OOH industry kicks off Quarter with strong July

The out of home (OOH) industry has reported a net revenue increase of 9.5% compared to the same month last year, from $43.8 million to $47.9 million.

Year to date revenue has increased by 17.5% at $350.8 million from $298.6 million for the same period last year.

Also increasing is digital of home revenue which now makes up 24.0% from 15.5% at the same period last year.

NewsLifeMedia launches donna hay Fresh + Light

NewsLifeMedia has today launched a new offering of the donna hay brand with the launch of the new quarterly magazine, donna hay Fresh + Light. Aimed at the “premium luxe-health market”, donna hay Fresh + Light offers consumers a range of recipes to help them achieve a more balanced lifestyle. The first issue of the new quarterly will be on sale in October, and it will be available in both print and a fully enhanced, interactive digital edition.

YouTube FanFest returns to Sydney

12 YouTube creators will head to Sydney for its 2015 FanFest.

The FanFest allows fans to see their YouTube heroes in person, with an international line-up including Jenna Marbles, Bethany Mota and Connor Franta poised head to Sydney.

The inaugural FanFest was held in May 2014. This year's will take place on 11 September.
