Accenture Interactive brings on new leads

Accenture Interactive has appointed Stephen Hamil to the role of managing director for the company's content division. Hamill will lead the strategic partner relationships throughout the APAC region, as well as the content business within Accenture's ANZ division. Prior to this role, Hamill worked as managing director for Adobe South East Asia. The business has also appointed Irwin Lim as marketing services lead for Australia and New Zealand. Lim has been with Accenture for nine years. AdNews recently reported that Accenture is intending to help clients with in-house programmatic trading amid transparency fears.

Instagram testing offline function

Instagram is experimenting with offline experiences for users in countries that have low bandwidth, according to a session description on the agenda for Facebook’s upcoming F8 developer conference. The description for the session, titled "Building Offline Experiences for Instagram," says the company is "testing offline experiences that keep the Instagram experience consistent and let people consume and engage with content, even if they don’t have service." Exactly how this will work, or what Instagram features would function offline, is unclear but could bring new opportunities for the platform in developing countries.
