News Awards winners 2019

News Corp Australia has announced the winners of its in-house News Awards for 2019.

The Sir Keith Murdoch Journalist of the Year award went to Annika Smethurst whose home was raided by Australian federal Police.

The Outstanding Achievements in Reporting went to Anthony Dowsley and Patrick Carlyon of Herald Sun, the journalists behind the Lawyer X Informer scandal coverage. Last month they won a Gold Walkley Award.
