Creative technology agency DT has appointed a new GM for its Sydney office amidst a raft of internal promotions as it looks to boost its offering “in line with the demands of the modern CMO”.

Saul Flores has been named as GM and will start at DT this week.

Flores has more than 10 years experience and has worked on a number of digital transformation projects.

DT CEO Brian Vella said the agency has “arguably never seen a better pool of talent in the market in its 18 year history”.

“As digital transformation and innovation agendas go beyond the traditional realms of marketing, the appointment of Saul and growth in our existing team sets us up well for 2015,” Vella said.

“We're seeing a healthy mix of home grown talent that reflects Australia's progressive adoption of new digital technologies with high performers from other markets.”

“Overseas talent often brings experience undertaking digital transformation initiatives ahead of our own market thanks to economies of scale, great levels of investment and in some cases a more competitive landscape.”

In addition, DT has made 17 internal promotions. Several senior members of staff have also been made partners including David Pountney and Kacey D'Odorico and Tim Matheson to chief operations officer.

It follows the recent appointment of international creative Jerker Fagerström as executive creative director.
