Ex-Droga5 boss Gohil resurfaces at LA's 72andSunny

Former CEO and founding partner of Droga5 Sydney Sudeep Gohil has resurfaced at LA agency 72andSunny. Gohil will take on the role of group strategy director with his remit being centred around developing the strategy for clients based in Asia-Pacific, as well as looking after clients in the agency's LA office.

Helloworld CMO takes CEO spot at Think TV

Experienced marketer Kim Portrate has been announced as the inaugural CEO of television’s new research-driven, marketing and technology development company, Think TV.

Portrate was most recently chief marketing officer at travel service provider Helloworld. She also spent five years as general manager, consumer marketing at Tourism Australia, where she led global marketing in 22 international markets. Read more here.

John Mescall named president of McCann's global creative council

McCann Worldgroup has announced that John Mescall has been named president of its global creative council, an expanded creative role charged with helping the worldwide network to marshal creative resources across all of its regions and disciplines.

Mescall was ECD of McCann Australia before he was promoted and moved to New York to join the agencies top global creative leadership team in 2014. He is best known for his creative work on “Dumb Ways to Die,” the Australian Metro Trains campaign that is the most awarded in advertising history and at the Cannes Lions Festival.

Melissa Wilson appointed editor of Kidspot.com.au

Melissa Wilson has been appointed editor of Australian parenting website Kidspot.com.au. With over 17 years’ experience in the media industry, Wilson joins Kidspot.com.au from Daily Mail Australia where she was deputy editor of news and Femail.

In her new role, Wilson will be responsible for developing and implementing the editorial content strategy for the brand, creating quality and innovative content that will engage and evolve the Kidspot.com.au audience.
