Ben Wicks the top Australian marketer within Mondelez's portfolio of chocolate brands, including Cadbury, has been promoted to a regional role.

Wicks continues to be based out of Mondelez HQ in Melbourne but now has responsibility for the portfolio of brands across South East Asia, China, India and Japan.

Wicks takes on the director of marketing and strategy role and is tasked with identifying individual opportunities in each distinct country as well as those “brand asset big bets” that can apply across the region.

“It's a broad remit, “ he told AdNews. “How are we going to grow the chocolate business in the region, map those growth opportunities, as well as drive innovation and brand equity?

“My focus is on what are the huge initiatives of scale that are relevant across the full market."

Cadbury and Cadbury Dairy Milk are the lead brands within the portfolio and so the bulk of marketing resource is weighted towards them, but the portfolio also includes Toblerone, Terry's Chocolate and high-end brand Green & Blacks.
