Marketing intelligence company MiQ has appointed Jason Scott in the newly created role of CEO, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Scott will oversee MiQ’s growth in ANZ and continue to expand the business across media, analytics and technology.

Scott's background spans two decades in the industry both locally and internationally.

His most recent role in Australia was as the CEO of Allure Media.

Prior to this, he was located internationally and held senior management positions at Microsoft including general manager, advertising for Asia, and general manager of the software giant's global agency business, based in Seattle.

Scott has also held general management and commercial lead roles at ninemsn, and various agency groups including Havas.

“Australia and New Zealand are crucial markets in MiQ’s strategic plans, and being at the centre of that growth is both a great honour and a great opportunity," Scott says.

"I’m thrilled to join a team that prioritises professionalism and delivers incredible work."

Scott will report into MiQ global president Richard Dunmall.

Dunmall says Scott will lead the company through its next phase of growth in ANZ market.

"He has great digital credentials, having run successful businesses like Allure Media and ninemsn during times of big expansion, and is a well-known, respected and liked character across the Australian and New Zealand markets,
Dunmall says.

"I am confident that our ANZ clients will enjoy even stronger business outcomes as a result of Jason’s leadership.”
