Mindshare and UM talent join Cleo Agency Bachelor ranks

By AdNews | 12 August 2014

Mindshare and UM are joining the Bachelor battle. Our first finalist from Melbourne comes in the shape of Mindshare’s Michael Emmerson. UM's Nelson Demartini is keeping the Brisbane end up.

In a bid to find the most eligible batchelor in advertising, Bauer's Cleo magazine has teamed up with AdNews. Our obligation is to tell you about the hot stuff in your office and keep at least half the industry in a state of perpetual semi-arousal.

Thirty hopefuls have made the longlist, including Y&R Group Sydney’s Daniel Day, George Mortimer at Search Factory Brisbane, Shannan Quinn from Mindshare Sydney and Chris Jordan from Clemenger Sydney. They will be whittled down the three finalists, one from New South Wales, one from Victoria and one from Queensland. They will then be entered into Cleo's Top 30 most eligible batchelors in Australia.

The three finalists will be revealed in the 22 August AdNews print issue.

Until then, we’ll be shining the spotlight on the hopeful Bachelors. Maybe your copywriter is a Bachelor wannabe, or your social strategist secretly signed up. And beneath mild mannered exteriors those Clark Kent/Superman data scientists are coining it. All will be revealed soon. But until then, the Cleo Bachelor winner all comes down to public votes – make it count.

The AdNews Cleo Agency Bachelor is a partnership between AdNews and Bauer's Cleo magazine to find the most eligible bachelor in Advertising. We'll be revealing the short-listed boys everyday until the winning three are named on 22 August.

Here's a bit about the Bachelors:
Nelson Demartini, UM Brisbane
I should be CLEO Bachelor 2014 because...
I’m kind but have a nasty dry sense of humour.
To impress a girl on a date I would...
Take her to a really nifty bar neither of us had been to before so we could judge it together
My life motto is...
When you’re swimming in shit, it’s best to keep your chin up

Michael Emmerson, Mindshare Melbourne
I should be CLEO Bachelor 2014 because...
Good things come is small packages. The ladies come first, I’m always caring and putting their needs first. If she’s happy, I’m happy
To impress a girl on a date I would...
Take that special lady on a drive through wine country. Nothing melts a girl’s heart like cheese and wine and a breathtaking panoramic view
My life motto is...
Work hard, play harder!
