Kenshoo and Facebook have launched a tool that brings Google search intent to Facebook ads for the first time.

Integrating search and social by meshing data from Google search clicks with Facebook audience data allows brands to target ads at Facebook users based on things they have previously searched and clicked on.

Kenshoo has worked with Facebook to develop the Intent-Driven Audiences tool and claims it's a world first in audience retargeting, and something advertisers have not been able to do before.

It automatically creates and updates Facebook Custom Audiences based on search engine activity to match clicks on search ads to audiences on Facebook in real-time. Marketers can use specific keyword searches and clicks alongside Facebook's targeting to find lookalike audiences it can target with ads on Facebook.

The tool, which launched in beta today (5 June), also allows aggregates content from Yahoo! And Bing search engines.
