There was a lot of hype around R/GA when it launched in Sydney four years ago. It’s now got a new MD and is the third shop in the global network to roll out the ‘connected office’ concept developed by founder Bob Greenberg.
But what does the connected agency and its new high-tech office stand for?

R/GA calls itself the agency for the connected age - and its making sure its offices physically represent that with a huge investment in the design and build of what Forbes last year called 'the most connected office in the world'. The Sydney shop is the third in the network to roll out R/GA's connected office concept, which was masterminded by founder Bob Greenberg himself.

The hotshop agency was founded by Greenberg, one of advertising's most eccentric figures, in 1977. It's a big name in the US, but in Sydney it's been relatively quiet since opening four years ago. However, the last six months have been eventful.

“We operate in a landscape where change is a constant, so you have to be open to evolving what you offer and how you work, and build a team that shares that philosophy," R/GA MD Rebecca Bezzina.

We also sat down with four R/GA faces to find out what it's really like to be part of the culture.

  • Robert Chalmers, creative director of experience design
  • Hamish Stewart, ECD
  • Stephen Pirrie, executive strategy director
  • Ashleigh Norman, HR business partner
