QantasLink has awarded Medium Rare Content Agency the new contract for Spirit magazine.

The agency won the magazine following a comprehensive tender process involving a number of shops.

The custom magazine publisher will supply publishing and sales services for Spirit magazine, which will be redesigned, reformatted to relaunch as a bi-monthly publications from September.

Medium Rare is the current publishing partner of Qantas magazine and its digital extensions, with the airline moving its account from Bauer in March 2015.

Qantas group executive brand of marketing and corporate affairs Olivia Wirth says the new-look Spirit magazine will tell local stories and share the beauty of regions with people around the world.

Medium Rare managing director Gerry Reynolds says the new magazine will provide engaging content and opportunities for advertisers to reach Qantas’ audience.

“The re-launch of Spirit magazine will foster deep connections with regional communities on topics that are close to QantasLink passengers' hearts and will deliver an intimate, trusted and inspiring experience for six million passengers who fly QantasLink each year," Reynolds says.
