MediaCom Sydney will manage P&O Cruises' affiliate business in both Australia and New Zealand, with the cruise liner being the first to launch an affiliate program in the market.

The affiliate campaign is set to launch on the platform of online marketing tech provider Performance Horizon Group. Head of digital at P&O's parent company, Carnival Australia, Mel Faeghy called the affiliate campaign a “great compliment” to the brand's existing digital marketing.

“We are always looking for ways to diversify our marketing channels and drive incremental revenue,” Faeghy said.

“We believe the campaign will be a great compliment to our other online channels.”

MediaCom's existing affiliate clients include Westpac Banking Group.

MediaCom affiliate director Jo Jones moved over from DigitasLBi in the UK last year to boost the agency's affiliate offering. Jones said the agency is pleased to strengthen its relationship with the Carnival company.

“MediaCom Australia has been partners with Carnival Australia for several years and we are very proud to do all we can to deliver great results and innovative ideas for our new client,” Jones said.

“P&O's welcome addition to our affiliate department has allowed us to grow our integrated digital offering or our clients.”
