McCann Sydney has boosted its creative department with the appointment of Lazrus Simons and Duncan Shields as creative group heads.

Simons and Shields both joins from DDB Sydney where they were senior interactive copywriter and creative group head respectively.

In their new roles the pair will work closely with executive creative director Dejan Rasic in the agency’s growing creative department.

Simons has more than 10 years experience working in roles across Asia Pacific including Mojo, JWT, BBDO, Ballantyne Taylor and The Brand Shop.

Shields has been in the industry for 11 years, including a role with WPP global start-up agency Enfatico.

“Lazrus and Duncan are great guys and bring a huge dose of talent to our department,” Rasic said.

“They've worked across a wealth of brands and are true idea people- regardless of the medium.”

It follows the recent announcement that Adam Lee would be joining McCann Sydney as MD.
