McCann Australia has appointed Andy Jones of AJF Partnership and Alex Wadelton from Cummins&Partners as associate creative directors of its Melbourne office.

Jones was creative director at AJF partnership, according across clients including Lion and Holden. Wadelton was hired for a senior creative role at Cummins&Partners in February last year. He was previously a senior writer at GYP&R and worked on its AFL account.

McCann executive creative director Pat Baron said: “We couldn't be happier to have these ridiculously brilliant and equally nice fellows joining us. They are all talent and no ego, which is refreshing as between them they've won very major award in the world.”

In addition, McCann has boosted its creative department with “talent young guns” including Jess Gunn, Katherine Parker, Heui Yin, Jack Railton-Woodcock and Matt Brown.

The appointments follow the agency's recent win of the AGL Energy business.
