Maxus has bolstered its strategy team in Melbourne and appointed Michael Harris, inset, in Sydney.

Maxus has grown its strategy team with two hires in Melbourne. Adrian Cosstick joins as strategy director and Zoe Edwards joins as strategy manager.

Cosstick returns to Maxus after recent stints at CrownBet and fantasy sports platform Draftstars, where he was head of marketing to develop the concept into an operational business.

“I was privileged to work on two innovative projects during my time at CrownBet helping to launch CrownBet Rewards and Draftstars,” Cosstick says. “I’m looking forward to applying my newly acquired business acumen in my role at Maxus, coupled with a client-side understanding of what it takes for businesses to succeed online.”

Edwards joins the agency following a stint at Dentsu Mitchell where she worked as strategy executive across a range of accounts, including Federal and Victorian Government clients.

In Sydney, Michael Harris joins the Maxus leadership team to head up the newly acquired Pharmacare account and also serve as acting managing director while Katy Websdell is on maternity leave.

He joins from the Starcom Mediavest Group where he held the role of group communications director and has almost two decades of media experience, including stints at GPY&R and MediaCom.

Other recent additions include Nicole Hayes, who joined the business in the newly-created role of head of client leadership in Melbourne, account director Kelly Jack and Jetstar client lead Liz Smart.

Maxus has recently picked up several pieces of new business, including PharmaCare, Mirvac, both the Danone Nutricia and Dairy brands, Boehringer, Tyrrells Crisps, Haribo and Beats. It has also recently lost Aldi, Fiat Chrysler and Suzuki.
