Match Media has bolstered its ranks with a new hire from rival media agency Initiative - Olia Krivtchoun.

Krivtchoun joins the agency in a newly created position of head of innovation and prior to the role she was head of digital at IPG's Initiative. Before then she was director, client strategy at Isobar in New York.

In her position she will be responsible for evolving the social and content offering for Match.

Match's chief strategy officer, Ian Czencz, said: “We spent a long time looking for the right person for this role as we needed someone with a diverse background that would help our clients understand the intersection between media and technology.

“Olia has a unique, rounded, digital and future focused skillset that we know will provide our agency and clients with a different perspective.”

Czencz added that Krivtchoun's background is diverse, having worked across three countries, Canada, the US and Australia, in various digital leadership roles.

She was also previously an information architect at Isobar in Canada and holds a strong track record of winning and running large clients including P&G, Pernod Ricard, Pfizer, Honda, Citigroup, ME Bank, and Tourism Tasmania.

In other recent Match news, the business this week won the Michael Cassel Group project media account. In August it also expanded its relationship with HCF and was appointed to handle all media buying requirements for the HCF Group – Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund in Australia.
