M&C Saatchi has promoted Mim Haysom to the newly created role of general manager, overseeing the operations of the advertising agency.

The creation of the role is the result of growth in the agency and will see Haysom run the advertising arm of the business, reporting to group CEO Jaimes Leggett.

Haysom joined M&C Saatchi in July 2014 as managing partner on its Commonwealth Bank business.

She has nearly two decades of experience in the industry including a role as regional group head at Whybin\TBWA Melbourne. She also previously spent 10 years working at Cummins&Partners and held roles at Clemenger Harvie Edge and JWT.

“Mim's a gun. Her razor-sharp approach to strategy and creative, together with her experience, passion and commitment, amount to something special,” Leggett says.

“She's an instrumental part of our leadership team and a future star in the industry. She's going to be a brilliant GM."
