M&C Saatchi Group CEO Jaimes Leggett and Xero CMO Andy Lark are among the most influential voices on LinkedIn as it today unveiled its list of Australian Power Profiles.

The list is a showcase of the most viewed professionals on the social network in 2015 and ranks leaders in different industries including finance, human resources and technology.

The top five names in the marketing and advertising category include Leggett and Lark along with R/GA Australia VP managing director Jon Holloway, Westpac GM customer relationship marketing and digital Karen Ganschow and The Business Woman Media and Western Sydney Women founder Amanda Rose.

The technology category includes the likes of Microsoft Australia MD Pip Marlow, Oracle ANZ MD Tim Ebbeck and BlueChilli founder and CEO Sebastien Eckersley-Maslin.

Holloway said he uses publishing on LinkedIn as his “voice” in the digital world. His advice for other people using digital as a platform is to look at how the people who are the best in their industry use it.

“Look at the people who are the best at what they do in their industry and look at the way they handle comment streams, look at the way that they are putting their opinion out there and look at the way that people engage and respond to that,” Holloway said.

“The digital world is very interesting but it is still that kind of physical human connection that brings us all together.

LinkedIn Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia MD Cliff Rosenberg said: “Investing in developing one’s professional brand is now vital for business success.

“Besides garnering the highest profile views on LinkedIn, what’s common among these Power Profiles is they are adding value to the community and want to influence change by voicing their opinions on topics that they are passionate about”.
