Victoria Bitter, known iconically as VB, has evolved the brand by giving its logo a minor makeover.
With tweaks including the removal of the gold trim, this means thousands of loyal Australians who have the famous white, green and red VB logo tattooed on their bodies are sporting out-of-date versions.
To celebrate the new logo and show appreciation to fans, VB has teamed up with Alexandria tattoo studio Hunter and Fox to tattoo the brand’s most loyal fans for free with the updated logo.
This will take place for one day next month on 9 November, and fans eager for the free upgrade can enter the competition by letting VB know what their fresh tattoo design will look like and why.
Knowing that people frequently post their VB tattoos on social media, helping devoted fans upgrade their tattoos is the right thing to do, VB’s senior marketing and sponsorship manager Hugh Jellie says.
“Very few brands inspire the kind of loyalty it takes to get it tattooed on your body," Jellie says.
"We’re proud of the enormous impact we continue to have on Aussie culture and feel a responsibility to help ensure our most loyal fans get a chance to keep their VB tatts up-to-date.”
