Lion appoints Ogilvy to Hahn brand

Lion’s Beer, Spirits & Wine Australia business has announced that Ogilvy will join its agency roster following a competitive pitch process.

At this stage Ogilvy will drive the above-the-line work for Lion's Hahn brand.

The creative accounts for other Lion brands James Boag and James Squire are still out for pitch.

The news follows Lion awarding its media account to Bohemia earlier this year.

Matt Tapper, National Marketing Director, Lion Beer, Spirits & Wine Australia, said: “During the pitch process Ogilvy presented some outstanding work and showed some terrific synergies with the Hahn brand.

“Lion’s focus is firmly set on driving growth through innovation and we were impressed with the similar goals displayed by Ogilvy. We look forward to working with all of the team there.”

Ogilvy CEO David Fox said: “We were thrilled to be chosen to lead Hahn Super Dry for Lion. The opportunity is big and the fact we are back on the Lion agency roster is a huge coup for Ogilvy.”
